Welcome to the official Brookwater's Curse Website, and the home of Steven Van Patten. If you're here, then you probably already know about my vampire novels, and maybe you've even read them. But if not and you're looking to check out a free preview or if you want to purchase a book, please click one of the links on the right.

Now, I know that by writing Brookwater's Curse, I will have vampire enthusiasts subjecting me to all sorts of comparisons to Anne Rice, Underworld , etc., and so on. I actually welcome any discussions and debates that the vampire readers out there will look to have once they've absorbed my story. All I ask is that all inquiries be presented in a respectful and intelligent manner.

Don't get me wrong; I created this site because I am looking for a dialogue. I want people to reach out and tell me what they like about my novels and explain what didn't work for them and why.

Naturally, if your goal is to publicly shower me with praise, read about my trips to Africa, South Dakota, and Japan or check out my many funny stories, please join Brookwater's Blog.
